MASN's Oriole Blogger Night

Last night I was a guest of MASN for their 'Oriole Blogger Night.' I had the opportunity to meet a number of members of the MASN on-air staff including Gary Thorne, Buck Martinez, Jim Hunter, Rick Dempsey, Steve Melewski, and Roch Kubatko.

Each one of them was gracious, and generous with their time. It was interesting watch Hunter, and Dempsey keep score of the game within the MASN Suite.

I thought Dempsey made an astute observation on an issue with Bergesen's mechanics.

O's President of Baseball Operations Andy MacPhail obviously had not tipped off MASN of the Wieters announcement, judging by the live reactions of those in the room.

Mr. Kubatko was left staring at the screen amazed at what had been said, and realized he needed to immediately head back to work.

The tour of the MASN TV Box, the catered dinner, and the showing of their MASN Production Studio / Control Truck were all enjoyed; but the real pleasure was that MASN / The O's reached out to significant portion of their die-hard fans, and sought feed-back on our opinions.
