Super Bowl Thoughts

I think you will know all you need to know about this game, by the end of the first quarter.

Can the Steelers knock Warner down consistently?

Is Warner able to beat the pass-rush, and get the ball off?

Pittsburgh has played single coverage on receivers all year... allowing them to keep more defenders in the box to stop the run.... if they double team Fitzgerald, does that allow for more running room for James?

If Pittsburgh double teams Fitzgerald, does that even stop him? Do they get torched on the other-side with Boldin?

Can James give you 20+ carries for 60 yards?

I think you will have answers on all of that by, the end of the first quarter.

Ultimately, I see Pittsburgh scoring at least 24 points... I do not think the Cardinals will be able to stop the Steeler offense... but I could see them forcing a few turnovers... (A Rogers-Cromartie INT return?)....

If these teams had played each other 16 times during the regular season... Pittsburgh would have won 10.... but this is a different Cardinals team... they beat three good teams to get here... and have established a running game.

Arizona can win tonight... but if I believe Pittsburgh will score at least 24 points, I have to believe their defense can hold Arizona to under that total.

I'll say Pittsburgh 24-Arizona 21.

Inauguration Day

Regardless of your political leanings, every Inauguration Day is an amazing event.

To watch the peaceful transition of power, makes once proud to be an American.

This should be a National holiday, so that all citizens have a better opportunity to witness.

Artie Lange's book... have you read it?

Quick page-turner... maybe 300 pages... took me about 4 hours... Very interesting guy….. Not the most articulate guy…. But I think people confuse that, with being unintelligent.

Reading the book, just reinforced what I hear on the show… that he is actually the most analytical of the cast.

Just amazing recall, and quick wit… He is very self-deprecating, and clearly not comfortable with his success….

Whenever he has something good… Television/Films, the Stern show, his exgf Dana, this NY Times best-seller… he sabotages himself…

Maybe the initial drug-use can be explained by coping with his father's injury, and subsequent death…. But my own arm-chair diagnosis is that subsequent episodes continue to be related to an overall lack of self-esteem…. With the drug-use kind of forming a self-fulfilling prophecy, where he takes drugs because he does not feel worthy of his success…. Then sees his self-esteem lowered further because of the drugs….

Also gives the impression he does not believe he would be funny if he was sober, or lacked his other vices…

So those that have read the book, or listen to the show regularly…. Do you think he ever kicks his problems?
